The gradient of blue supports the deep and luminous side of the sea. Oleg Zinger is a Franco-Russian painter born in 1910. In 1922, he emigrated to Germany with his family where he worked in advertising. He designed posters for London transport from 1933 to 1937. In 1949, he won a prize in the London International Poster Competition. Several of his posters were designed for the London Zoo. After the war, in 1948, he moved to Paris, where he continued to work in advertising, alongside his painting. He exhibited his paintings in Germany at the Galerie Faust, Altona Gallery and Gallery 42. In France, he exhibited at least once a year in the 1960s, mainly in Paris, but also in Auvergne, Marseille and Lille. He exhibited in the United States in the early 1960s, notably in 1963 at the Gallery of Harry Salpeter. He died in 1998 and was buried in Saint Siffret near Uzès in the district of Nîmes in the south of France. What Oleg Zinger depicts in his painting is the sensitive soul of things, their interior movement.
