This is an original woodblock print, hand pulled from a small edition of 30 prints. details: "Beethoven's Death Mask" •printmaking ink on fine art paper •signed and numbered under the image •image size: 8.5"H x 5.75"W •paper size: 14"H x 11"W the process: After drawing my design, the image is carved into wood using chisels and gouges. Once the carving is complete, ink is rolled onto the surface of the block. Next, paper is placed on top of the block, and I use a hand tool to apply pressure, forcing the ink onto the paper. The result is the reverse image transferred to paper. Each image is printed by hand, please embrace slight variations :) Prints 1-10 are available at this price, pricing increases at the edition sells out. about my work: I'm a full time artist with a BFA from Laguna College of Art & Design, where I majored in drawing and painting, working primarily from life and the nude figure.
