Information about the artist: Artist & Architect Jonathan Martin Hall (Seattle, 1934-2023) Jon Hall was born in Edinburgh, Scotland and raised in Bristol, CT and Lanesborough, MA. He completed his Masters degree in Architecture in 1958 at the University of Pennsylvania. He went on to work for Louis Khan, Paul Rudolf, Der Scutt, and Bob Burley, before opening his own architecture firm. His projects were primarily in Vermont, New York and Seattle. Jon developed a reputation as an accomplished painter, particularly in watercolor. After studying at the Art Students’ League in Manhattan and under Eugene Pizzuto in Seattle, Jon staged numerous exhibitions and art shows in Seattle. Jon pursued his career and hobbies with intense focus and dedication. His passion for beauty and moderation in life, as well as his selfless generosity, compassion and affection for his family and friends earned him respect and love from a broad spectrum of people.
