The most charming floral still life, painted in 1939. It features colorful zinnias in a dark teal vase with a scarlet fabric backdrop. The execution of the brushstrokes and composition are very well done, and just lovely. The best part about this piece is the note on the back. It reads: "Painted by Geraldine Halten Merritt about 1939 - Dallas Art Museum, where I took lessons." Framed in the original gilt gold frame with lovely detail. Measures: 11.5" w x 14.75" h x 1" d Easel not included.
