About the Artist: Jean Cuillerat is a painter in search of light and the spirit who was inspired sacred texts but also poetry. He illustrated and enriched in 1967, with his twenty etchings on art paper, the collection of poems "Meduses" written by Serge Wellens in 1965, and this is how his art was exhibited at the Gérard Mourgue gallery in Paris from 1967, Galerie Pierre Domec and the Galerie Lise Cormery, Paris also presented it. Jean Cuillerat (1927-1998) was born on December 8, 1927 in Paris in the 14th arrondissement of Paris, in a family of farmers, in the heart of a family of eight children. It was as an adult that he studied at the Ecole du Louvre from 1955 to 1960, then at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière, and finally at the Beaux-Arts in Paris.
