Very fine custom-framed oil on board equestrian painting titled “Man O’ War” painted by widely accomplished and well known equestrian artist Ralph Scharff, 1922-1993. Scharff studied at Trinity University and under Robert Brackman in Noank, Connecticut. He taught at the San Antonio Art Institute, Delaware Art Center, Ursuline Academy and Harford Junior College. Sharff exhibited at The National Academy of Design, Audubon Artists, Abercrombie & Fitch and The Incurable Collector amongst others. His paintings can be found in the permanent collections of the Delaware Thoroughbred Racing Assoc., Museum of Racing - Saratoga, N.Y., Del Ray Polo Club, Defense Department, Delaware Art Center, Wilmington Trust Bank, and The Irish Tourist Board to name a few.
