As a widely collected and prolific artist, John M. Carnright (1945-2023) was a part of the Beat Movement and was admired for his cutting edge theory of Primitive-Futurism, a philosophy and aesthetic interrelated to Evolutionary Psychology, as a developing movement in the art world. which was based on the idea that the human mind is a collection of adaptations that evolved to help our ancestors survive and reproduce. This theory is quite clear in the eclectic ways Carnright expressed himself in his work.
