Peter Keil is a German artist that focuses primarily on abstract expressionism. Keil painted with some of the greats including Joan Miró, Pablo Picasso and Andy Warhol, to name a few. This is a gorgeous and unique piece from Keil’s “Junge Wilde” collection executed on a canvas like cloth. Oftentimes, he painted on cloth he had before being able to afford canvas. Keil used a really neat marbled paint technique making this quite a unique piece. This piece was purchased directly from the Keil family, acting on behalf of Peter. The art is in good condition with typical signs of age and wear. The sides of the cloth would be covered by a frame. Please note the wood has minor warping (see 7th photo), but I believe once it was framed, it would sit nicely on the wall.
