Very fine custom framed gouache/Watercolor equestrian painting [titled “Stretch Run”] of two race horses with riders in motion painted by widely accomplished artist Ralph Scharff, 1922-1993. Scharff studied at Trinity University and Robert Brockman in Noank, Connecticut. He taught at the San Antonio Art Institute, Delaware Art Center, Ursuline Academy and Harford Junior College. Sharff exhibited at The national Academy of Design, Audubon Artists, Abercrombie & Fitch and The Incurable Collector amongst others. His paintings can be found in the permanent collections of the Delaware Thoroughbred Racing Assoc., Museum of Racing - Saratoga, N.Y., Del Ray Polo Club, Defense Department, Delaware Art Center, Wilmington Trust Bank and The Irish Tourist Board to name a few.
