This original abstract painting is signed N Thabit and titled "Mound, Ireland" on the verso on the stretcher. The heavy use of acrylic paints on the canvas give the piece a sculptural effect and the use of so many colors adds significant depth to the work. It is stretched on a solid wood stretcher with hand-cut canvas. The photos were taken in a well-lit room which allow the many colors to pop. The painting presents a darker mood when hung in a more subdued lighting. 25.5" h x 24" w x 2" d Condition: This appears to be in original condition, though the colors would be even stronger with a gentle cleaning. May have signs of wear consistent with age, especially on the edges of the painting.
