Original Vintage Sports Poster published by Levi Strauss clothing brand(founded 1853) for the 1980 Moscow Olympic Games featuring a stylized design depicting a China Gymnast executing a perfect headstand on a map of Asia with with small silvered showing a sequence of her gymnastics routine ending with a flying bird along one of the stripes in the background, the Levi’s logo and stylized title text in the margin below. One of a series of six posters commissioned by the blue jeans manufacturer Levi’s as official sponsors of the U.S. team for the 1980 Olympic Games; this Levi’s Olympic Opportunity Sweepstakes campaign emphasized a sport associated with each of the six continents competing in the event- Skiing (North America), Gymnastics (Asia), Swimming (Australia), Track and Field (Africa), Soccer (South America), Cycling (Europe) - but the posters were withdrawn following the decision by President Jimmy Carter to boycott the Olympics in protest after the USSR invaded Afghanistan in December 1979. Professionally framed with heavy metal frame. These posters are rare because they weren't used.
