Oxy oyster minimalistic round by Corine VanvoorbergenUnique PieceDimensions: diameter 110 cmMaterials: Brass, wood, natural pigments, metal and epoxyThe power of change is Corine’s inspiration for this piece. She uses a technique that stimulates the chemical change oxidation. Corine works with white paint that contains a higher O2 level, this is then mixed with minuscule metal parts. She further enhances the oxidation by controlling the heat and humidity of her work space. This unique process results in the diverse shades of green. The piece is encased in a brass ring, handmade in Morocco. Not only does the painting undergo an oxidationprocess, the ring does too, changing with the passing of time.Corine van Voorbergen is an intuitive artist. Through her minimalistic round art forms she focusses on the idea of eternal movement. In her current series “Through the Brass Eye of the Beholder” she evokes a certain feeling in the viewer through her use of color, visual depth and natural flow. Corine constructs her art pieces with layers and layers of different mediums and finishes the work off with a thin layer of epoxy. The epoxy reflects the surroundings back to the beholder.“Art and Interior Design should compliment each other”. From this perspective Corine moves herself through both fields, presenting her work at Art Fairs, in Galleries and at Interior Design events around the world.Upcoming exhibitions:August 2020 - Balthasar Brussels, BelgiumOctober 2020 - Affordable Art Fair Amsterdam, The NetherlandsNovember 2020 - Affordable Art Fair London Hampstead, UKApril 2021 - Salone del Mobile with Masterly, The Dutch in Milano.
