This is a pair of French architecture lithograph plates from a 1900 edition of “Architecture Nouvelle”, an illustrated album of pavilions, villas, chalets, and private houses throughout France. The cut stone villa designs are drawn by leading gravurist, E. Gillet and features rich colors, textural surfaces, and charming landscapes. The architectural lithographs show decorative period details of stone, metalwork and woodwork, as well as soft colored ornamental landscapes. They each are complete with floor plans and construction details. The original album contained prize winning designs by noted architects from the universal exposition of 1889 (silver prize) and 1900 (bronze prize). A+ condition. Clean with no foxing or markings.
