Paolo Minoli, These Few Notes In Light, Italy, 1989, Acrylic On Board

$8,646

Paolo Minoli (Cantù, Como) is a leading figure in Italian geometric abstraction. He graduated as a Master of Art from the Cantù Art Institute in 1961, where he taught from 1964 to 1978. from the 1970s, he developed a rigorous language based on color, rhythm, and geometric construction, participating in numerous exhibitions dedicated to analytical painting and abstract research. In Luce Queste Poche Note is a diptych composed of two vertical panels (200 × 50 cm each), painted in acrylic on a white background. The composition is structured through vertical and horizontal bands that, starting from the upper part of the surfaces, progressively thin out downwards in both number and chromatic intensity. This gradual variation introduces a linear rhythm that recalls the fundamental principles of Minoli's research, based on calibrated geometric ratios and a measured distribution of backgrounds. The two panels interact with each other, creating an extremely harmonious vertical visual continuity. The work is in excellent condition. The signature, date, and title are on the back, as per the artist's practice.
