Although the film itself is somewhat unknown, released only in France and the Netherlands, this stunning French Moyenne poster for the 1964 Pierre Armand melodrama 'Paris-Champagne' stands on it's own, with its colourful can-can dancers set against the twinkling night lights of Paris and the Moulin Rouge. The strange dreamlike plot saw a tramp transform himself into a handsome young man to conduct a young flower-seller on a surreal whirlwind tour of the exotic Parisian night. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
