This Paul Klee rare vintage 1955 first edition Modernist lithograph print " At Anchor " 1932, is a very special and unique piece to add to your collection. The Modernist lithograph print is a page from an authentic vintage first edition artists publication printed in Japan in 1955, published by Harry N. Abrams Inc., New York. It features an artwork image originally created by Klee in 1932 titled " At Anchor ". Paul Klee ( 1879 - 1940 ) The Swiss born artist is attributed to creating some of the most original and colorful paintings of The Twentieth Century. Klee was an educator at the famous Bauhaus School in Germany. His work reflects the styles and ideas of Symbolism, Expressionism, Cubism, as well the simplicity of The Bauhaus designs. Art works by Klee are included in the collections of many of the world's most prestigious museums. The lithograph print plate image is attached to the page with a method called " tipping " where it is attached by hand on the top and left side edge. The title and date of the original artwork is printed on the reverse back side of the page. The rare out of print Modernist lithograph print image measures 7 1/4" W X 6 7/8" H, on a page that is 8 1/8" W X 11 1/8" H. It is in excellent clean vintage condition consistent with age and very light signs of handling. It has never been framed. Please see photos for condition reference.
