This artwork has been realized by Paul Pierre Lemagny (1905-1997) was a brilliant student at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, where his work was greatly recognized with prizes. He became well-known as an engraver, and began to exhibit regularly at both the Salon des Indépendants and the Salon des Tuileries. He later became professor at the École des Beaux-Arts. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history.
