A gentle soft pink hue takes over the petals, while each petal itself features an intriguing type of indent that create minuscule ridges in each floral petal. The center of the flower is fresh and new, with pale green petals, while the external petals of the flower have had time to mature and are a soft pink. In this ongoing and varied series, Gatward shoots his subjects, which range from flowers to animals, against the same neutral grey background, which brings out the fascinating symmetry of seeing something seemingly ordinary from very close up.
