PAIR Divine Hand Colored French Engravings "THE FLUTE - PLAYER" and "A FETE - CHAMPETRE" {Party in the Fields} (Circa 1830-1890) by Pelee, Pierre. One of Europe's most famous engravers originally from Geneva, and later Paris. The original oil paintings from which the engravings were made, were painted by Jean-Baptiste Francois Pater (1695-1746). Art pieces depict highly detailed elegantly dressed aristocrats in playful engagements. Custom Matted in cream colored linen and Framed in simple carved gilt frames. Much prettier in person, the glass reflections in the photographs deter from their beauty.
