Etching belonging to the series views of rome on an etching made by giovanni battista piranesi in 1776 (c.a. Petrucci, catalogo generale delle stampe tratte dai rami incisi posseduti dalla calcografia nazionale, 741, p. 283, 1953.). It represents "view of the ancient substitutions made by tarquinio superbo called the bel lido, or as others erected by marcus agrippa in the time of augustus, on the occasion that he had all the cloaches repurged up to the tiber." in some places of the view are marked letters that find their explanation in the caption at the bottom of the print. At the bottom right we find the signature "cav. Piranesi f." and the number "5-" is indicated. In the upper right corner we find the number "741". the print is framed in simple walnut frame behind the glass. The measurements indicated in the card are the external measurements of the frame. The inside dimensions, and therefore of the visible part of the imprinted paper, are 59/71 cm. The dimensions of the imprinted surface are 45/68 cm. This piece has an attribution mark, i am sure that it is completely authentic and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
