Diva al Fresco is one of 18 in the Plant Portrait series of artist Marlene Struss, b. 1950. They are an exuberant and iconic collection of anthropomorphic plant silhouettes posing against a background of her representative abstract organic nature-based environments. Each portrait has a personality demonstrated by its stance and its background, that you can think of as its mind or character, hence, the names of the paintings. The paintings are all 12 x 12 inches painted with acrylic paint on a cradled wood panel, whose edges haves been varnished to complement the painting.
