Poppies are a sure sign of spring! I used a palette knife technique to add lots of texture to create the poppy leaf "crinkles". The color may seem red at first, but the colors in this painting range from yellow to umber. I think the overall colors comes off to the viewer as paprika. This would be great anywhere a bright pop of color is needed.
