Just finished and drying on my easel! A midsized salty underwater creature for my series that will also be featured from July 7-21 in Crooked Tree Arts Center/Carnegie Library building in Downtown Traverse City this summer. I use dozens of washes to create the colors then add in solids to create the composition—Completing the piece with highlights, lowlights, and adding variance in blue/green hues to give the water a sense of light and movement.
