Chairish

$1,160

Abstract expressionist painting of "Primordial" by California artist Inglis Carré (American, 1952) This abstract work of art was constructed using all three primary colors and suggests movement between the objects of focus. Signed on the back, "Inglis Carré-Dellard June 2004 Santa Cruz, Ca." and a connection with the artist gave us the original title "Primordial". Unframed. Inglis Carré was born on January 16th, 1952 and is known for her abstract works in oil and acrylic. Inglis Carré has a B.A. degree from U.C.S.C. and a Masters of Fine arts from San Jose State. Artists Statement: "Most of my work would fall into the category of organic or biomorphic abstraction. I am inspired by the transformative processes of nature, which I often express through plant-like forms and shapes that remind me of microscopic organisms...forms that hold a mysterious attraction for me because, at a deep level, the workings of nature are unknowable, no matter how much we think we know about them. My process is a purely abstract one. I apply paint to the canvas and allow the painting to emerge. This is difficult to put into words."
