Cloudy is an original pencil drawing realized by Raymond Jean Verdun (1873 - 1954) in 1908. Hand-signed and dated by the artist. Good condition. Born in 1873 in Nogent-le-Rotrou, Raymond Jean Verdun was a student of Henri Harpignies. Like Harpignies, he painted trees, giving his landscapes an impression of robustness and serenity. He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français in Paris and received an honorable mention in 1909. Raymond Jean Verdun died in 1954. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
