Oil on canvas painted in the 1960s by a local painter from Amposta (Ricard Noé), a village in southern Catalonia in the heart of the Ebro Delta. The theme of the painting revolves around a reddish, autumn sunset in the Ebro Delta, with a Gothic style tower dating from the twelfth century located in a pre-Roman site, known as "Torre de la Carrova" This painting is made before the tower was restored by Heritage of the Catalan Government. It is mounted in a wooden frame finished in plain gold leaf, but in a craquelure style.
