Known for his detailed draftsmanship and dreamlike imagery, he became one of the most widely recognized artists of the twentieth century. Dali exhibited internationally throughout his career, with major retrospectives organized by institutions including the Museum of Modern Art, New York, and the Centre Pompidou, Paris. In 1982, he was granted the title Marqués de Dali de Pubol by King Juan Carlos I of Spain. His works are held in major museum collections worldwide, and the Teatro-Museo Dalí in Figueres, Spain, was established to preserve and present his legacy.
