Created in his studio on the Greek island of Paxos in 2004, this Madonna, painted in the ancient technique of egg tempera, is inspired by the Madonnas found throughout the islands. The small island of Paxos boasts 63 churches this piece would be at home in any of them. In her contemplative pose is wisdom and tranquillity, she's a vessel of light in an increasingly dark world.
