Sometimes in the world of fine art something very special happens and this piece from the hilltop studio of master artist Sax Berlin is such a rarity. Berlin has furthered his exploration of automatic drawing into automatic painting. Working with lightning speed (he describes it as the speed of galloping wild horses) using a butterfly technique, flying across the canvas the painting “happens”. There’s no plausible explanation of how Berlin, at the height of his creativity, can knowingly create such a work, it happens, it’s automatic. But Berlin explains it as "when the brain disengages the rhythmic dance begins......... colour flies spontaneously in every direction". And the results are sheer depth and beauty inscribed forever on the canvas. Acrylic on canvas 48" x 36"
