This 20th century portrait is by Santa Fe artist Seymour Tubis (1919-1993). Tubis studied at the Art Students League with Hans Hofmann (1946-1949). He exhibited in Paris in 1950 and won praise from Georges Braque. He was Chair of the Fine Art Department at the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe (1963-1980). 20th Century Pastel on Paper 18"x24" unframed Signed lower right. Excellent vintage condition.
