An original portrait drawing by Georgian artist Sergo Chakhoiants, rendered with expressive, gestural lines and subtle tones of black, gray, and muted red. The work bears the artist’s distinctive monogram at lower right. Chakhoiants studied at the Tbilisi Academy of Art and belonged to an important generation of postwar Georgian artists. His work is recognized for its expressive, psychologically charged approach to the human figure and abstraction. This original work comes from a private collection and was acquired directly through a Georgian artist and longtime family of artists and collectors.
