Pair of late 19th century hand colored engravings depicting "At the Eaton and Harrow Cricket Match" by Harry Furniss, a double page extracted from the Illustrated London News, 16 July 1881, showing throng of cricket fans picnicking out of a carriage. And "A Day in Arcadia" by William Heysham Overend" also a double page extracted from the Illustrated London News, 13 August 1881, showing a country picnic including many children and a cow. Framed in dark wood beveled frames with beaded and arched carved accents. "Harry Furniss (1854 - 1925) was active/lived in United Kingdom. Henry (Harry) Furniss was born on March 26, 1854, in Wexford, Ireland. He was an artist and illustrator. Furniss worked for The Illustrated London News, The Graphic, Punch. In 1889, he illustrated Lewis Carroll's novel Sylvie and Bruno. The novel Sylvie and Bruno Concluded in 1893. His two-volume autobiography, titled The Confessions of a Caricaturist was published in 1902."
