Set Of Twelve Antique Alpine Botanical Chromolithographs Circa 1909 In Custom Frames.

Chairish

$1,680

An exceptional collection of twelve authentic alpine botanical chromolithographs dating to approximately 1909, beautifully preserved and thoughtfully framed for today’s interiors. These early twentieth-century botanical studies showcase the extraordinary detail and luminous color associated with the finest chromolithographic printing of the period. The delicacy of the linework and subtle tonal variation give each print remarkable depth and presence despite their intimate scale. Each botanical is presented behind glass in a custom cream-painted wood frame featuring faint white line detailing along the face of the molding — a subtle decorative touch that adds refinement without distracting from the artwork itself. The prints are further elevated by custom-designed striped mats, created and printed in our own workrooms. The cheerful stripe pattern alternates one-eighth-inch bands of creamy white with a warm soft cream tone that gently leans toward pale yellow, harmonizing beautifully with both the antique prints and the painted frames. The overall framed size of each piece measures 9 inches wide by 11 inches high, with a 4 x 6 inch opening surrounded by a generous 2-inch mat. Arranged in three rows of four with approximately 1½ inches between frames, the collection creates a striking installation measuring roughly 36 inches high by 40 inches wide. This grouping offers an elegant alternative to large-scale artwork, bringing texture, history, and intimacy into a room. Ideal for libraries, hallways, bedrooms, dressing rooms, breakfast areas, or layered gallery walls, these botanicals provide a curated, collected look that feels both timeless and fresh.
