Up for sale is this charming hand-colored copper engraving from Shaw & Nodder's “The Naturalist's Miscellany”, a serialized publication issued monthly from 1789-1813 and covering zoological subjects native to the South Pacific and Australia, many of them new to science. This attractive print, measuring 5 1/8" x 8 1/2" is dated 1792 on the publication line, is matted in a pH neutral 8" x 10" mat for ease of framing in a readymade frame. It is in very good condition, with some toning commensurate with age, as pictured.
