Solomon " Sol " LeWitt ( 1928 - 2007 ) was an American artist of a Russian Jewish background, linked to various movements, including Conceptual Art and Minimalism. LeWitt came to fame in the late 1960's with his Wall Drawings and " Structures " but was prolific in a wide range of mediums including drawing, printmaking, photography, painting, installation, and artist's books. Artworks by LeWitt have been the subject of hundreds of solo exhibitions in some of the most prestigious museums and galleries around the world since 1965. The rare out of print framed Minimalist exhibition poster measures 25 1/8" W X 34 7/8" H X 3/4" D. It is custom framed with UV protective plexiglass in a Contemporary Modern matte satin finish black wood frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation. It is in excellent " like new " condition. The poster print is in excellent " like new " very clean condition. It is brand newly custom farmed and has never been displayed.
