Beautiful bold yet delicate paint strokes. A very refined work which is expressionist at heart. The earthy colours or the violets make a nice contrast with the dark and gloomy background. Framed in a period correct gilt wooden ornate frame. It is signed, but illegible. The oil painting is in a wonderful condition.
