In the thirties, he stayed in Paris with the Florentine painter Dario Mecatti (1909 - 1976). Together, they organized exhibitions of their works. In the 1930s and until 1942, he traveled extensively to North Africa and France as a musician and painter. Gori permanently moved to Brazil in 1942 and remained there until he passed away in 1998. Before settling permanently in São Paulo, he spent time in Rio de Janeiro, Salvador, and Belo Horizonte.
