Color lithograph on Arches paper. Hand signed and numbered in pencil. Edition of LXVII/CCXXV (67/125). Ref. Michler-Lopsinger 1328b. Carmen's Death is the last original colored lithograph from the series "Carmen" by Salvador Dalì. The Carmen suite is a portfolio of 25 colored lithographs after original gouaches and one of the most beautiful sets of graphics done by the late Catalan Surrealist. Published in 1970 by Shorewood Press, Wolfensberger, the suite is an interpretation of Bizet’s famous opera that inspired this set, as well as black and white images of all 25 pieces broken down into acts.
