Set of three antique Japanese woodblock prints (triptych) by Tsukioka Yoshitoshi (1839–1892) titled The Difficult Battle at Daijuji Temple. The scene, dated circa 1873, depicts a violent conflict from the "Later Gazetteer of Mikawa" detailing military exploits of Tokugawa Ieyasu. Tsukioka Yoshitoshi (1839–1892) is widely recognized as the last great master of the traditional Japanese ukiyo-e woodblock printing art form. Images measure approximately 9.75” x 14.25”. Framed measurements 16.5” x 20.5” Piece has not been examined outside of framing however the mounting method has preserved the material well and edges are visible.
