The muse is a beautiful black and white lithograph, realized in 1886 by the French artist, Henri Theodore Fantin-Latour (Grenoble 1836- Buré 1906). A vibrant Fantin-Latour's line outlines the great musician Richard Wagner portrayed while he is composing assisted by the genius infused by the muse who appears next to him. In excellent condition with traces of previous gluing to the verso, and some sporadic stains on the recto on the edges, a light fold on kigher left corner.
