This lovely layered painting depicts Curve Billed Thrashers one atop the other. I started with play and underneath the thick paint bits of stripes and floral shapes pop out. The pattern of some of the shapes are repeated throughout the painting allowing your eye to move from one place to another. It was all made on a 20” x 16” panel that has painted sides in grray green and comes ready to hang as is.
