Large rectangular vitrified majolica tile, decorated with two Spanish women dancing flamenco, entirely hand-decorated, signed at the bottom by the artist "Mario Cortiello," an important Neapolitan painter and ceramist. On the back is a handwritten dedication by the artist, unfortunately illegible, and the date, which appears to be either 1923 or 1933. The tile is of excellent size and of very high artistic quality. The artistic style could be described as dreamlike Fauvism, very similar to the works of Chagall; it is no coincidence that Cortiello has been nicknamed the "Italian Chagall." This piece has an attribution mark, I am sure that it is completely authentic and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
