As a graduate student, artist Sena Zander studied oil painting in China, where she learned classical techniques and developed a deep appreciation for traditional art forms. In these exquisitely detailed images, Sena captures the lush floral and geometric forms of a Chinoiserie toile porcelain plate. The crisp white mat is cut along the image border to accentuate its hexagonal shape.
