After a few years he returned to his native West Yorkshire and went freelance in 1986. Illustrating for greeting card publishers rekindled his childhood love of painting and he soon tired of advertising work when he realized his hobby could become his living. Today, Trevor's illustrations can be found on prints, cards, jigsaw puzzles, metal signs and collector plates all over the world. His painting reflects his enthusiasm for steam and vintage vehicles and his love of the countryside.
