Tronco Painting

Deftly painted on paper glued onto canvas, this spectacular artwork embodies Giusto Pilan's artistic research, the idea of recovering a lost memory originating in the birth of man, and the first cave graffiti. With a language that takes shape through formal archetypes, this work is made using a mixed technique, starting by pressing iron stencils to create human- or nature-inspired figures filled with all colors and pigments.
