Unique Blown Glass Suspension "Cocoon" Ceren Gurkan

It is a unique signed glass blown Suspension entitled "Cocoon."It was designed and handmade by Ceren Gurkan. Dimensions: Height 35 cm, diameter 28 cm. It is signed.Each creation is handmade and unique. Other dimensions can be designed and created if asked.Ceren Gurkan is an important contemporary designer. Ceren, is a lighting and product specialised in glass blowing designer born in Turkey. She studied ceramic and glass design at Mimar Sinan University and graduated in 2009.She started her career as a sculptor assistant (’07-’09). She became the Design Director of Yakamoz Vitray, a glass manufacturer company where she spent 2 years.(’09-’11) and worked as the Product Designer in Urart El Sanatlari, a company manufacturing traditional objects and jewelry made by glass and metal.(’11-’12). Meanwhile, she also positioned between ceramic design, painting and photography.She is a creative individual who has always been into creating objects fromnature and daily life; but making them functional was her ultimate goal. She enjoys experimenting with different light sources and crafty materials.
