Deborah Finkelstein often reinterprets older imagery through a modern lens. In this decorative series, she reimagines a suite of early 20th century ink drawings by Dutch artist and designer, Carel Adolph Lion Cachet. "Drawn to their graphic strength and expressive brushwork, I reinterpreted each composition in vibrant ultramarine blue, maintaining the strong linework while introducing playful lines, gestures, botanical elements, and an updated visual rhythm," Deborah explains. Each image is crisply printed and displayed in a gold bamboo wood frame with deep blue mat.
