I’m selling a vintage painting by listed artist Thomas Adrian Fransioli (1906 to 1997). Signed by him lower right and dated 1972 as shown. This is an original matted watercolor painting in a carved, gilt wooden frame and it depicts a quaint canal or river scene. The street has a church, multiple houses and trees and is possibly a street scene from Salisbury CT (Connecticut). Info from online search: "Like many other architects who came out of college during the Depression, Thomas Fransioli had to live more by chance than by design. Commissions were scarce, so he tried other ventures—farming, hog butchering and painting. He is most known for precisely rendered townscape, structures and still life paintings and drawings." Dimensions: the frame is aprox. 17 5/8" wide by 19 3/8" high. Condition: very good as shown but with some foxing on the back of the finishing paper of the frame. Pick-up at Yardley Antiques in Pennsburg PA 18073, or let Chairish handle shipping arrangements for you. Thanks for looking, Nessa, owner of Yardley Antiques
