Expressionist and eye catching watercolor painting by Kurt Sala (1947-1994), a well known Chicago Post-War and Modern artist. Features a live band playing at now closed famous Chicago blues bar Wise Fool’s Pub. The band is fronted by a young woman on keyboard and vocals, in bright pink, with a bass player behind her. Signed top right, dated 1982, and labeled N.W.S. for the National Watercolor Society, which Sala was part of. Framed in a thin wood frame, matted, under glass. Measures overall 20.5in x 16.75in, 13in x 9in image area. Excellent vintage condition, some light wear on frame.
