Here is a vintage hand-painted botanical lithograph featuring pears by artist L.B. and originally engraved by Breant Sculp in 1768. Produced in Italy during the 19th century, this medium-sized portrait-oriented print showcases the details of 5 varieties of pears: 1. Mansuette - 2. Vigne - 3. Saint - Augustin - 4. Catillac - 5. Tonneau. Printed at top: Tom, II - Pl LVIII. Pag 254 which may indicate that this was part of a larger horticultural work. Print on lower back corner: Hand Painted Acquarello - Sergio Calosi - Via del Trebbio 6/12 - Firenze - tel. (055) 21.09.52 The paper size is approximately 19-1/2" x 13-3/4" with the image size 10-1/4" x 8-1/2" plus the printed areas above and below. Matting 20" x 16". Condition: The print is in good condition with very minor signs of wear. However, the back side is attached to the matting with masking tape. The matting has edge wear. See photos for details.
